Online Gaming Approved in New Jersey
We waited all day yesterday for this, but late Monday the New Jersey state Assembly approved a bill to allow Internet gambling for New Jersey residents through Atlantic City casinos.
The bill, part of a package of bills to help Atlantic City, now goes to Governor Chris Christie. No timeline has been set for when Christies will sign the bills.
The online gaming measure, which would definitely include online poker, passed overwhelmingly in the Assembly by a 63-11-3 vote.
Under the bill, Atlantic City casinos will be able to offer online gaming, but restrict it to New Jersey state residents. The bill is designed to get around a federal ban on online gaming by restricting the gaming to state residents.
Until the federal law is changed, however, there’s a good chance a New Jersey bill could be opposed in court.
Philly.com has a good rundown on all the bills affecting Atlantic City passed Monday.

Pretty worthless. You can only play online poker in the USA if you go to an Atlantic City casino. USA land of the free? No. Land of the facists. I can’t even use my own money how I want to without some scum Republican facist creating national legislation to take away American’s freedoms and forcing his own confused morality on to every American in the country. America is nothing.
