Locations Announced for Ocean City BYOB Petition
Monday, July 11th, 2011
A lot of local media attention has been given to the prospect of allowing restaurant patrons to bring bottles of wine or beer into certain dining establishments in Ocean City — a southern New Jersey shore town that has stringently maintained its family friendly atmosphere by disallowing alcohol anywhere in the city limits.
Due to the overwhelming number of requests for information on where registered voters of Ocean City can go to sign the petition to have BYOB placed on the November 2011 ballot as a referendum, the Ocean City Restaurant Association and supporting merchants have announced the following list of locations and times.
Certified petitioners will be available to witness signatures on the petition. Placing the issue on the November ballot will insure all voters of Ocean City the opportunity to privately cast their vote for or against this issue. Additionally, if anyone has any questions or requires clarification regarding details of the proposed ordinance, or cannot make the listed times to sign the petition, a hotline has been established. The hotline number is (609) 432-8375.
Below is the list of establishments, and the times available, for registered voters to sign the petition to place the BYOB referendum on the voter ballot.
