Tropicana’s Fifth Annual Taste of The Quarter to Benefit the United Way

ATLANTIC CITY — The annual Taste of the Quarter will not just be tantalizing your taste buds but all your senses when it returns for the fifth year on Monday, Aug. 27, from 6-9pm.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the fifth annual event will benefit Atlantic County programs and services funded by United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. Currently there are 60 local programs supported which aim to improve the lives of Atlantic County residents, including adult literacy education, emergency assistance for food, clothing and shelter, after-school programming and free pediatric health services.
Filled with an array of delectable dishes and delightful aromas from Tropicana and The Quarter’s fine restaurants, the three-hour event is sure to tempt any palate. Guests will also feel the rhythm and hear the beats of WAYV’s best DJs keeping the party going, as well as the addition of a beer garden at the newly renovated Tango’s lounge. Participating outlets currently include FIN – A Seafood Experience, Il Verdi, Carmine’s, The Palm, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Red Square, P. F. Chang’s China Bistro, Ri-Ra Irish Pub, A Time for Wine, A Dam Good Sports Bar, Starbucks, Zeytina, Mrs. Fields, James’ Candies, Old Farmer’s Almanac and Tango’s. Additional participants will be announced at a later date.
“Each year this event grows in popularity,” says Tony Rodio, president and chief executive officer of Tropicana. “This year we are going bigger and better than ever, adding even more samplings. More importantly we are supporting a worthwhile cause in the community by fundraising for the United Way.”
