Paula Deen, Queen of Southern Cooking, Visits the Tropicana on Dec. 8
Thursday, October 18th, 2012ATLANTIC CITY — When Southern cooking’s the subject, Paula Deen is usually the first name that pops to mind. The American icon will host “An Evening with Paula Deen” at the Tropicana on Thursday, Dec. 8.

Deen started her first company with her last $200 in 1989. Called ” The Bag Lady,” a home-based meal delivery service, the company marked the start of Paula’s professional cooking career. Her vivacious energy combined with a dazzling smile and infectious laugh has quickly made her America’s best friend and next door neighbor.
Today Deen is known for her various television shows on the Food Network including Paula’s Party (2006), Paula’s Best Dishes (2008), and the long-running Paula’s Home Cooking (2002), which has earned her two Emmys. She is also a best-selling author with 14 cookbooks that have sold over eight million copies total. Her bimonthly magazine Cooking with Paula Deen currently has a circulation of more than a million, and she also recently launched Paula Deen Foods with a variety of food products based on her traditional recipes and some lighter versions.
Paula Deen’s big event at the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival, a party under a tent outdoors at Bally’s Dennis Courtyard, delivered a great combination of terrific food and delightful stories from the “Queen of Southern Cuisine.” Go
