The famed funk ‘n’ disco group that struck gold with hits like “That’s the Way (I Like It)”, “Shake Your Booty,” “Keep It Comin’ Love,” “Get Down Tonight” and others in the ’70s and early ’80s will perform at the Trop’s new 8,000-square foot shrine to everything ’70s and ’80s before being bestowed the Hall of Fame honor. The band should arrive around 11pm, after their Showroom show.

The Boogie Nights Hall of Fame honors musicians, icons, and even items (i.e. the Rubix Cube) that have left their mark on pop culture from that special stretch of the 20th Century. Past inductees include Jimmie “JJ” Walker Tiffany and Leif Garrett at other Boogie Nights locations. As a part of the commemoration, KC & the Sunshine Band will receive a plaque and Boogie Nights will also display one as well.

“There isn’t a person out there who doesn’t like KC & the Sunshine Band — they are true legends and we can’t wait to induct them into the Boogie Nights Hall of Fame,” says Boogie Nights creator and owner Dave Pena.
