Easter Celebration at the Steel Pier

ATLANTIC CITY — The famed Steel Pier has a weekend full of fun and special events taking place for the Easter holiday, starting with a Kids Pancake Breakfast and unlimited rides on Saturday, March 30, for $10 per person (children aged 12 and under). Breakfast will be served 11am to 12:30pm followed by unlimited rides until 5pm. Jim-Craine-

On Sunday, the Steel Pier’s Easter Celebration continues with a best-dressed contest at 2pm (registration is from noon-1:30pm). Categories will includes all ages from birth-to-3 years, 4-7, 8-11 and 12-15 years. There will also be a Best Dressed Family category.

EasterbunnypaMirandaEach winner will be awarded great prizes, and the Easter Bunny will be handing out free goodie bags (while supplies last) to contestants.

Another fan favorite also returns, as Jim “The Singing Lifeguard” Craine (above) and the Atlantic City All-Star Band will be performing from 1-3pm.

Knights of Columbus Italian Festival is Saturday, Sept. 29, in Historic Smithville

k of cSMITHVILLE, GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. — The Knights of Columbus of Galloway Township (Villa Marie Council #6342) will host their second annual Italian Festival at Historic Smithville on the Green in Smithville on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10am-5pm (rain date Sunday, Sept. 30).

Come celebrate everything Italian with delicious Italian food and delectable desserts, wine tastings, a beer garden, music and plenty of vendors. Attendance is free and there will be free parking, 50/50 drawings every two hours, free Bocce Ball (must register to play in advance), a free display of Italian-made automobiles and other classic cars, hand crafted items and imported specialties.

Italian music will  be provided by Jim Craine (pictured below) and his Atlantic City All Star Band, and there will also be folk dancing and children’s activities like pony rides, face painting, temporary tattoos and acw-jimcraineair-bounce amusements.  Stop out and enjoy the day! All proceeds benefit the work of the Knights of Columbus.

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic gentlemen who provide service to the church and community. The Knights offer mutual aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.

Atlantic City All-Star Band to Perform at Middle Township PAC on Friday, Sept. 7

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, N.J. — As part of the Middle Township Performing Arts Center (PAC)’s 20th anniversary celebration and its “Jersey Joys” series honoring entertainers with New Jersey backgrounds, Jim Craine and the Atlantic City All-Star Band will be appearing at the PAC on Friday, Sept. 7, starting at 7:30pm.

Craine (pictured left) and his seven-member All-Star Band will be presenting a “Tribute to the Singers” — honoring and performing the songs of such greats as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Al Jolson, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Neil Diamond and many others.

“We always have a lot of fun on stage, and so will the audience,” says Craine, who may be best known by his nickname “The Singing Lifeguard” (having served on the Atlantic City Beach Patrol for 25 years before retiring in 1999).

Craine — whose Jim Craine Show airs 8-10pm Fridays on WOND 1400 AM radio — and the A.C. A.C. All-Star Band to Kick Off EHT’s “Rhythm in the Park” Concert Series

ATLANTIC CITY  — Atlantic City’s “Singing Lifeguard” Jim Craine and his six-piece Atlantic City All-Star Band will kick off the Egg Harbor Township Rhythm in the Park concert series on Friday night, June 29. The band will perform its classic repertoire of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin and many more. The show will take place from 7-9pm.

Craine and the A.C. All Stars were scheduled to  perform in the “Red, White and Blue Celebration of America” at the Brighton Park Amphitheater on July 4th. However, due to the severity of storm damage sustained by Brighton Park following the June 29 storm, that appearance was postponed to a later date yet to be announced.

indexATLANTIC CITY  — Atlantic City’s “Singing Lifeguard” Jim Craine (left) and the Atlantic City All Star Band kick off a busy summer in Brigantine this Thursday, June 23, with their “Tribute to the Singers” — Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin and many more.

The band will perform at Brigantine North School auditorium, located at Lafayette and Evans Boulevard in Brigantine, starting 7pm. The show is free and open to all members of the public. Call (609) 266-3323 for more info.

On Monday, July 4, Craine and his All Star Band will perform a “Red, White and Blue Tribute to America Concert” starting 7:30pm at the outdoor stage of Kennedy Plaza (right in front of Historic Boardwalk Hall, Mississippi Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City).
