The Recording Academy will announce winners at the annual Grammy Awards ceremony on Feb. 12, 2012. The event will be televised on CBS.

Atlantic City Weekly has learned that the Philadelphia Chapter of The Recording Academy — those folks who vote and award the Grammys — is planning to hold its next “In the Mix” event in Atlantic City on Tuesday, Oct. 25, from 7-10pm.

The event, officially dubbed, “In The Mix Atlantic City: A GRAMMY Professional Networking Event,” will take place inside Prohibition at Resorts Atlantic City (1133 Boardwalk).

The night should attract many members of the Atlantic City region’s rich music collective, including artists, producers and others in the industry. The “high-level music business networking” event will feature tips on utilizing social media to promote music, as well as insight into how the Grammy process works.

The Philadelphia Grammy chapter brought an “In the Mix” event to Atlantic City — at Trump Marina —  in the mid ’00s.
