Don’t Forget Flag Day!

At the Jersey shore and all across the country we honor brave men and women for their sacrifices as soldiers of the United States military on Memorial Day. U.S. flags are raised in honor of their memory and dedication to our country.
The image of the U.S. flag is almost always present and serves as a prominent distinction of liberty and freedom. With its importance, it only serves right to celebrate the identity of this American heirloom.
National Flag Day is a holiday that some Americans overlook. The adoption of the stars and stripes as the U.S. flag is celebrated on its anniversary of June 14, 1977.
Local counties will bring awareness to this celebratory holiday with American Flag Day ceremonies and events. To support and recognize this staple of American identity spectators can participate in these upcoming events:
