Memorial Park dedication ceremony held in October 2009. The memorial park is located on Pacific Avenue, between Pennsylvania and Virginia avenues and adjacent to the grand entrance of the Taj. It honors the longtime Taj shift manager who worked hard for everything he achieved in his 57 years before being slain by a deranged gunman, Mark Magee of Norristown, Pa., in May 2009. Ironically, the day before Ray Kot Place was unveiled Tuesday, Magee pled guilty to the crime in a court of law and faces a minimum of 30 years in prison before being eligible for parole.
