BRIGANTINE, N.J. — The Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament (LIBT), a ladies-only fishing tournament that has raised upward of a half-million charitable dollars since it began 28 years ago, will be having a beef & beer fundraiser on Sunday, April 22, at St. George’s Pub in Brigantine (4282 Harbor Beach Blvd.).
A $20 fee in advance ($25 at the door, $15 for youths 11-20, and $10 for those 10 and under) gets you all you can eat and drink from 2-6pm. Live music will be provided by Brigantine Beach Bums, who will be donating their time to play. The band includes Brian Smallwood, Doug Carlin and Paul Strong. There will also be raffles, door prizes and 50/50 tickets for sale.
All proceeds benefit the RNS Mobile Mammography Unit, a branch of AtlantiCare that gives women throughout southern New Jersey easy access to mammography — an invaluable screening tool for early detection of breast cancer.
For more information or tickets, please contact Kim Kirk (609) 412-0641 or Cathy Stanley (610) 212-1687, or go here. The 28th annual Ladies Invitational Bluefish Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 16. Find them on Facebook or click here for more information.
