For the past two years, the ACWeekly.com Nightlife Awards and Resorts’ retro nightclub Boogie Nights have clicked well as a combo, recognizing exceptional contributions to the area’s after-dark social scene in a fun, nostalgic atmosphere.
This year’s awards party — scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 27, at Boogie Nights from 8-10pm — will again kick it up a notch, to borrow an Emeril Lagasse expression. Numerous guest presenters, among them 1980s singing star Tiffany, will bestow honors in about two dozen nightlife categories (including “best dance club,” “best happy hour,” “best lounge act,” “best resident DJ,” etc.). Another chart-topping icon from the ’80s, the female-fronted band Pretty Poison, will be debuting its new music video “No Limits” that is a song encapsulating the spirit of Atlantic City. Boogie Nights co-creator Dave Pena worked with Pretty Poison to produce the video. For more on this story, click here.
