Roaring ’20s Trolley Tour is Back in A.C.
Monday, April 16th, 2012
ATLANTIC CITY — The Roaring ‘20s Trolley Tour highlights one of Atlantic City’s most provocative eras – when it was considered the grand dame of resorts — with luxury hotels, speakeasies and a free-wheeling nightlife.
This fully guided tour is nearly four hours and takes place aboard a comfortable, Victorian-style trolley. The individual tour season begins Thursday, May 3, and will run every Thursday through the fall. The tour travels the length of entire city, treating passengers to the colorful history and stories from the time, including the rise and fall of Enoch “Nucky” Johnson, the political boss and racketeer of Atlantic City who helped shape much of the atmosphere of Atlantic City even today.
The Roaring ‘20s Trolley Tour is a fully narrated tour and will be introducing new stops for 2012 including Resorts, the Boardwalk Empire façade and The Chelsea Pub & Inn along with many existing stops from our 2011 season. All passengers will receive a keepsake tour booklet highlighting many of the stops on the route. This tour includes lunch at the famous Irish Pub.
The cost is $25 for adults and $20 for children ages 5-10. Children ages 4 and under are free. Pickups spots include the Tropicana’s Iowa Ave. entrance @ 10:15am; Wyndham Skyline Towers main entrance @ 10:35am; the Flagship main entrance @ 10:45am; and Gardner’s Basin @ 11am
