Comedy Festival Hits the Boards

Comedian Mike Epps will perform at the inaugural Atlantic City Comedy Festival this Sept. 3-4.
Atlantic City continues to be the East Coast capital for extravagance and easy living, and this summer will also become the back yard for some of the biggest players on the comedy circuit.
The inaugural Atlantic City Comedy Festival will take place Friday and Saturday, Sept. 3-4, at historic Boardwalk Hall. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 19, at noon and are priced at $45, $59 and $85 for each show. Tickets will be available at the Boardwalk Hall box office, at all Ticketmaster outlets, or by calling 1-800-736-1420. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available.
Festival organizers hope to make the two-day event a permanent Boardwalk Hall fixture. This year’s lineup features 10 nationally known comics, including five performing each night starting 8pm. Friday’s lineup will include Don “DC” Curry, Earthquake, Mike Epps, Mario Tory and George Wilborn. Saturday’s show will feature J. Anthony Brown, Bruce Bruce, D.L. Hughley, Sommore and TuRae.
