The annual Blues, Brews and BBQ event at the Showboat/House of Blues was terrific as usual, one of the premier events at the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival.

Pat & Gina Neely from the Food Network hosted the event. Gina Neely in particular was having a blast dancing to the music as they chatted to the crowd onstage at the House of Blues Music Hall during the music set by our own blues guitar prodigy, Linwood, NJ native Patrick Droney.

And of course the food was great, including fried chicken, pulled pork sliders, the Neelys’ peach BBQ ribs and Cherry Coke chicken legs and some nice sides, including a cherry tomato salad and mixed bean salad. There were two rooms set up for music and food, the Music Hall and the Club Harlem room which had seating for diners.

There was also a room with all the fine beers available for tasting with our adorable little mini beer glass.

Later tonight the Food & Wine Fest will debut a new event, the Beach Soiree on Caesars beach, with libations and  hors d’oeurves, hosted by Restaurant Impossible’s Chef Robert Irvine and the Neelys. Go here for info on the Food & Wine Fest.
