Caesars Entertainment Rings in Chinese New Year Feb. 16 on the Boardwalk

ATLANTIC CITY — This calendar year, 2013, marks the Year of the Snake for the Asian Lunar New Year, and Caesars Entertainment is celebrating with an array of exciting activities.

snakeSaturday, Feb. 16, at 2pm kicks off the string of events with the Lunar New Year Parade on the Boardwalk, which will march from in front of Showboat down the Boardwalk to the sixth floor Atrium in Bally’s. The annual parade will include lion and dragon dancers, marching bands, and accustomed dress performers.

Following the parade, Caesars, Bally’s and Showboat will each feature unique dining and entertainment opportunities. Bally’s Grand Ballroom will house a traditional Chinese Market Place showcasing over 25 vendor booths with food, beverages, and merchandise available for purchase from 4pm to midnight.

Meanwhile, a craft fair will be held at Showboat from 3-7pm. Liu Jun and Zhang Di are set to perform at the Celebrating Year of the Snake Concert hosted by Caesars’ Circus Maximus Theater Saturday, Feb. 16, at 10pm, and Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2am.
