Raise Money For Autism
SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. — Mike’s Seafood is hosting a Polar Bear Run- Walk for Autism Sunday, Feb. 17.
The 5k run and 1.5- mile will be taking place at 12:30pm on the boardwalk in Sea Isle City, NJ. The individual raising the most money will receive four Philadelphia Eagles tickets. Must raise $500 minimum to qualify for the tickets. There will be live music, raffle awards, magicians and face painters for the kids in a heated tent outside La Costa Lounge.
Reasons to Run
One in 88 children are diagnosed with autism. It is four times more likely to strike boys than girls and typically lasts throughout a person’s lifetime. Autism can impair a person’s ability to communicate and relate to others.
The Polar Bear Run-walk for Autism is a non-profit organization. All proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, Special Service Schools, Autism Support Groups, as well as families of special needs children.
Registration begins Saturday, Feb. 16 from 10am-4pm and Sunday, Feb. 17 from 9-11:55am at a tent outside LaCosta Lounge. To register online go to polarbearrunwalkforautism.com
