Set you DVRs for Wednesday, Dec. 12, 9:30pm. That is when Barbara Walters presents her 10 Most Fascinating People special. The Governor is on the list, and we are not talking about that former governor from California, either.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been selected by Babs as one of the most fascinating people of 2012.  She went to the New Jersey statehouse to spend about an hour interviewing Christie and his wife Mary Pat, and according to the Associated Press, she finds him, “smart, funny and “good-natured.”

I don’t think Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford would agree with the latter after his feud with Christie went viral in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

Walters also told the AP that the Republican governor made the list because of his handling of Superstorm Sandy and because “he’s probably now the best-known governor in America.”

Christie will be joining a group that includes Fifty Shades of Gray author E.L. James, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Ben Affleck and just to keep this honor in perspective, Alana Thompson, a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo, the 6-year-old reality star.
