Free English Creek-Tilton Road Community Shuttle
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the South Jersey community has banded together in a fervent effort to assist those who have been sorely affected by the storm.
The Pascale Sykes Foundation, which has recently launched the English Creek-Tilton Road Community Shuttle that runs between Egg Harbor Township and Northfield, is joining those efforts by offering free transportation this holiday season.
Waving the typical $1 one-way fee, riders can now travel the 18-mile route, which includes 16 stops and connections to NJ Transit routes to Mays Landing and Atlantic City, free of charge.
With stops at local retails shops, shopping malls, and restaurants, the shuttle is a convenient way to get some holiday shopping done, running from 6am to 8pm.
“There are many residents who not only lost their homes as a result of this historic storm, but also lost their cars and means of transportation, making this shuttle and even more valuable service,” says Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson.
