Wolfgang Puck Aids Sandy Relief at Savor Borgata
Saturday, Nov. 10, marked the 5th annual Savor Borgata culinary celebration at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.
Executive chefs and restaurateurs were represented by culinary stations, each offering guests an exclusive opportunity to sample their unique brand of cuisine. Hosted by MC Billy Harris, international wine, beer, and spirits were also offered at the appetizing affair.
The event included a number of foodie favorites including Michael Schulson, Bobby Flay, Michael Mina, Geoffrey Zakarian, Stephen Kalt, and the legendary Wolfgang Puck. The James Beard Lifetime Achievement Award winning chef devoted a portion of his time in Atlantic City to helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy. From noon-2pm on Saturday, Puck hosted a book signing, featuring his cookbook Wolfgang Makes It Easy, the purchase of which earned attendees the chef’s autograph.
Available for $30 each, all proceeds collected from book sales went toward the American Red Cross Southern Shore Chapter, as Puck hoped to bring Sandy victims “a better life.” — Casey Harper
