Margaritaville Project Breaks Ground Tomorrow

margativavilleWEBIf you were wondering if Hurricane Sandy would have an impact as to whether there was enough beach left at Resorts for the Margaritaville project to get underway, the good news for Parrotheads is that the project is still on track.

The latitudes will be staying the same, but the attitudes in Atlantic City will start changing as Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville project at Resorts Casino Hotel begins construction on the beachfront. Resorts Casino Hotel announced today that Massett Building Company will break ground and begin working on the foundation for the LandShark Bar and Grill on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

“We are thrilled to get the Margaritaville project underway,” said Gary Van Hettinga, president and C.E.O. of Resorts Casino Hotel.  “Seeing the first signs of work occurring on the beach in front of Resorts is an exciting first step. The LandShark Bar and Grill will be the first of its kind in Atlantic City and this landmark moment will be one of many in an aggressive construction schedule.  The cooperation we are receiving from government agencies, including the Governor’s office, CRDA, DEP, Economic Development Authority and the City of Atlantic City, together with the efforts of our construction team, has been and will continue to be instrumental in completing this project on schedule.”
