Family Service Association of South Jersey to Host Inaugural ‘Touch A Truck’
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Family Service Association of South Jersey (FSASJ) presents its inaugural Touch A Truck event where kids (and kids at heart) can “Climb, Learn & Discover” on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10am-4pm at the Cardiff Shopping Center (6718 Black Horse Pike in EHT). The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 30.
Youngsters and adults will have the opportunity to look at and sit on trucks and equipment from area public safety departments and multiple local businesses. Family friendly vendors, games, and entertainment will be on hand, as well as food and drink for purchase. Children will be invited to have their faces painted, make thank-you cards for our troops, and receive autographs from “Birdie,” the Richard Stockton College Osprey, from noon-1pm. There will also be opportunities to win various prizes through a raffle and games.
On hand will be local fire and police officials, marked and unmarked squad cars, vintage and modern fire trucks, an Army vehicle, an ACUA eco-friendly truck, an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer, and many more.
Everyone is invited to explore their favorite big vehicles and meet the people who operate them.
Admission is just $2 per person and $10 for families (eight-person maximum). For more, go here or call (609) 569-0239 or 1153.
