It’s Official: Bad Beat Biggest in AC History
We’ve been following the climb as Caesars Entertainment Bad Beat Poker Jackpot reached for the all time record. As of today, Aug. 9, it has reached those unprecedented new heights. Pooled from the Caesars, Bally’s, Harrah’s Resort, and Showboat Atlantic City properties, collectively, the current Bad Beat Jackpot sits at $761,082.
The former Atlantic City Bad Beat Jackpot record previously was set at $672,115. The current amount has climbed ever since the last Bad Beat Jackpot hit at Caesars on March 1 for $281,000.
Now, somebody just has to have a Bad Beat good enough to hit the jackpot. The Bad Beat Jackpot is a prize that is paid when a sufficiently strong hand is shown down and loses to an even stronger hand held by another player.
The Bad Beat Jackpot is progressive, with $1 taken out of each pot to fund the jackpot (in addition to the regular rake). When a jackpot is won, it will be split among all players sitting at a Bad Beat eligible table and in all of the Caesars Total Reward Poker rooms in Atlantic City at the time of the bad beat, with the losing hand getting the largest share.
