Ram’s Head Inn Hosts Reception for Airshow Volunteers

AirshowLogo2012-webRam’s Head Inn has been a sponsor of the Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder Over the Boardwalk”, which will take place this year on Friday, Aug. 17, since it began.

As well as being a sponsor, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, Ram’s Head Inn will also host an estimated 150 Atlantic City Airshow workers and volunteers for an event briefing and assignment of duties. Guests at the Ram’s Head, located just off the Garden State Parkway on White Horse Pike, will include the 177th Fighter Wing of the NJ Air National Guard. Participants will also be treated to a cocktail reception and dinner, compliments of Ram’s Head Inn.

“I have great appreciation for the skill and precision involved in the aerobatic performances by the many talented professionals, and we are pleased to host those involved with the event,” says Harry Knowles, owner of Ram’s Head Inn and former WWII P-47 fighter pilot.

Attracting an estimated 800,000 people in 2011, the Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder Over The Boardwalk,” is one of the most popular events in Atlantic City, and one of the very best air shows in the country, with its heart-stopping feats, aerobatic maneuvers, formation flying and solo routines by military and civilian pilots.

Ram’s Head Inn also hosts its own tent the day of the Atlantic City Airshow where members of the 177th Fighter Wing can meet with friends and family to watch the show and enjoy lunch.  The Inn also caters a number of neighboring tents.

The 2012 Atlantic City Airshow “Thunder Over the Boardwalk” will take place from 10am-3:30pm on Friday, Aug. 17. Check out a video here. For more information, visit the official Atlantic City Airshow Web site
