5th Annual Singer-Songwriter Event Hosted by Congress Hall
Cape May will be hosting its 5th annual singer-songwriter event, spanning two afternoons at the historic Congress Hall on March 30 and March 31.
The program includes business panels and mentoring with music professionals, workshops, and demo listening sessions.
Artists of every genre are encouraged to attend, with a strong emphasis on local new and emerging artists to help jump-start their networking skills with music professionals.
Both nights will include selected independent artists to perform in showcases, which are free and open to the public at 15 various venues in the area.
Featured artist Christine Martucci plus special guests will be performing on Friday.
Todd Sheaffer of Railroad Earth will be featured on Saturday in the Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom.
Both shows begin at 8pm, with ticket prices at $10 for Friday, and $15 for Saturday.
During the day, the event is open to the public, but prospective attendees need to register for the event, which requires a $75 registration fee.
For those artists that register, they will be able to have an all-access personalized laminate that grants access to all singer-songwriter event business sessions, showcases, VIP receptions and industry meet and greets. It also includes a program/directory of the event and a Cape May compilation CD.
Selected venues and restaurants will be giving discounts to those with the laminates.
Discounts will also be given to students, military, NARAS, BMI, and SEASAC members.
