Dennis Gomes, Resorts CEO, Has Died; Details Forthcoming Later Today.
ATLANTIC CITY — Dennis Gomes, chief executive officer and co-owner of Atlantic City’s Resorts casino hotel, has died, according to information released by Resorts Casino Hotel spokeswoman Courtney Birmingham.
More details of the death will be released as they become known later today, Feb. 24.
Mr. Gomes was a giant and innovator in the casino gaming industry. Most recently he served as the president, CEO and owner of Gomes Gaming, Inc., which has been in existence since 2005.
Gomes managed 14 separate hotel/casino resorts in Nevada, Indiana and Atlantic City during his 28-year career in the gaming industry.
