Award-Winning ‘Legends In Concert’ Returns to Bally’s Starting Feb. 17
ATLANTIC CITY — Bally’s Atlantic City announced Friday, Jan. 13, that Atlantic City’s most popular and legendary production attraction has returned for 2012.
Coming off the heels of its smashingly successful six-month Bally’s and Harrah’s schedule during 2011, including dozens of advance sell-outs, Legends in Concert, the pioneer of live tribute shows and the longest-running entertainment attraction in Atlantic City’s history, will re-open for a year-round schedule starting Feb. 17. Eight performances will take place each week through Dec. 31 in Bally’s Palace Theater.
The 2012 edition of the stage show spectacular, which features live recreations of yesterday’s and today’s hottest superstars backed by a live orchestra and dancers, promises to be more popular than ever. Tickets are available now at $32.50. Go here or call 800-745-3000 to purchase tickets.
The initial Legends 2012 production will feature tributes to Tina Turner, the Blues Brothers, Liza Minnelli, Ray Charles and, of course, Elvis Presley, with performances at 8pm Tuesday through Friday and Sunday, 7:30pm and 10pm Saturday, and a special matinee each Wednesday at 3pm.
“We are honored to be invited to bring our Legends back to Atlantic City and begin our 21st season in the market, with an unprecedented array of unique commitments from Bally’s to improve and extend our fan’s experience,” says Brian Brigner, chief operating officer for On Stage Entertainment, producers of the show. “There is no better venue for our production in Atlantic City than Bally’s intimate Palace Theater, and we look forward to this exciting and innovative extension of our long time relationship with Caesars Entertainment.”

I had a great stay in AC by avoiding all of the cheesy casino hotels. The Chelsea is a 4 star smoke-free boutique hotel with an amazing nightclub, saltwater pool, and an upscale diner, right on the premises. When we were hungry for some gambling, we just crossed the parking lot into the Tropicana casino . (and you are only outside for 5 seconds) That have some great off season deals. We took advantage of a huge 50% discount on a deluxe ocean -view room, plus a $30 food credit, 2 additonal hours to check out and free vip passes for their nightclub. It made an amazing overnight stay without breaking the bank. Here is a link to the deal.

Be sure to check out their new solarium and ask for a high room during checkin. It gives a much better view of the water!
