Free Shopping in Tourism District
Shoppers are the first to receive gifts this holiday season as two surface parking lots within Atlantic City’s Tourism District will provide Free parking to holiday shoppers and visitors. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, South Jersey Transportation Authority and the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Authority have partnered to provide the free parking to visitors and holiday shoppers.
Free Parking continues now through Dec. 24 at the Fairmount Avenue surface parking lot between Christopher Columbus Blvd. and Georgia Ave. There will also be free parking at the Ohio Ave. surface parking lot located between Indiana and Ohio Aves. on Baltic Ave. Both lots will allow for free parking from 6am until 11pm daily. The parking areas are in close proximity to the Tanger Outlets, The Walk and the shops and restaurants in the Ducktown area.
As in previous years, Tanger Outlets, The Walk is offering free valet parking at its Michigan Avenue location every Tuesday between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
“With more shopping options than ever, free parking is a great motivator for people to come into Atlantic City, do their holiday shopping and then stay for dinner, or a show,” says Kim Butler, General Manager for Tanger Outlets, The Walk. “It’s good for business and it’s good for Atlantic City.”
Holiday shopping hours at Tanger Outlets, The Walk are Monday through Saturday, 10am-8pm, and Sundays from 10am-6pm. Stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Special Thanksgiving Weekend shopping hours are November 25 & 26, 7am-9pm and December 18-23, 9am-9pm. Stores will be open Christmas Eve from 10am- 6pm. Some merchants may open as early as 5am on November 25 and 26.
