“We take great pride in always offering our guests a premium experience, and to always keep things fresh and exciting for them,” says Starr Restaurants founder Stephen Starr, owner of both restaurants, in a release. “It’s our great pleasure to continue to serve Atlantic City, and whether you’re one of our many regulars who live in the area or are just on vacation, we know you’ll find something this season at The Continental and Buddakan that you’re going to love.”

At Asian-inspired Buddakan, executive chef Scott Swiderski’s new dishes include Butternut Squash Dumplings — pan-seared dumplings filled with a butternut squash puree with Thai chilis, shallots, ginger, and togarashi, topped with black truffle vinaigrette; Mushroom Fried Rice, mushroom-infused jasmine rice with shiitake and beech mushrooms, edamame water chestnuts, shallots, topped with crispy garlic chips; and San Bei Basil Chicken, velveted chicken wok stir-fried with shallots, chilis, and cloves, in a chili soy sauce, served in a sizzling cast-iron pot.

Complementing Buddakan’s savory seasonal offerings is a selection of new desserts from executive pastry chef Steven Barile, including Vietnamese Chocolate Cake, dense chocolate cake topped with mocha icing, drizzled with chocolate ganache and served with Vietnamese coffee ice cream; and Crispy Banana Spring Rolls, crispy sugar and Chinese five-spice coated spring rolls filled with a banana caramel pudding, and plated with caramel sauce and white chocolate macadamia ice cream.

Over at The Continental, which celebrates global cuisine, executive chef Tim Hamill tempts guests with new dishes such as Grilled Scallops with habañero-pumpkin seed chimichurri sauce; Baked Pocono Trout with a lemon herb sauce and sautéed haricots verts; and the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, chicken roulade with aged provolone, arugula, smoked tomato sauce and pesto aioli on Tuscan bread.

In addition to the new seasonal dishes, both restaurants are expanding their happy hour specials. The Continental offers a great “$5 Happy Hour” Monday through Friday 4-7pm, with small bite specials, wines by the glass and signature cocktails, such as the Astronaut with peach vodka, Tang and a Tang rim. At Buddakan, “$5 Happy Hour” specials are available at the bar all night, every Tuesday, making it the perfect place to grab some delicious bar bites and cocktails before heading over to Dusk nightclub.
