A Night of Music, Dance, and Fashion
ATLANTIC CITY — Grammy-winning R&B artist and actress Mya will put on a special, extended performance at The Chelsea hotel’s C5 nightclub Friday, July 22, at 10pm
Mya (pictured left), who gained national recognition as the runner up on the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars, has been on the top of the charts since releasing her debut album in 1998. She won her first Grammy Award for the number-one hit “Lady Marmalade,” a cover version she recorded with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, and Pink for the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge.
Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford is planning to attend the event and try out his dancing talents “Dancing with the Stars” style by joining Mya on the dance floor.
In addition to Mya’s performance and C5’s party atmosphere, a fashion show highlighting the latest trends from New York and Los Angeles will be presented by Northfield’s Simply Fly Boutique.
