ATLANTIC CITY — Boxing is back in Atlantic City, baby.

With a big fight at Caesars and boxing at Resorts over the weekend and several bouts taking place in Atlantic City over the past few months, the seaside resort is starting to get its groove back with regard to world-class boxing.

Carl Froch, who beat Glen Johnson during the high-profile Super Six bout at Boardwalk Hall Saturday, June 4, in Atlantic City will take on Andre Ward,  the other finalist in Showtime’s Super Six World Boxing Classic.

Two years after the rounds of Super Six boxing matches kicked off around the world, Atlantic City, it has been announced today, according to ESPN, will get to host the final bout between Froch (28-1, 20 KOs) and Ward (24-0, 13 KOs) on Oct. 29 at Boardwalk Hall.

According to organizers, the Super Six was devised to “determine the No. 1 super middleweight in the world.”
