American Idol: Bye Bye Stefano
Is it just me or were the Idol group sign-alongs last night the worst ever performed by good singers. “Hey Soul Sister” sounded like the four singers — Lauren, Jacob, Stefano, Haley — were trying to do their best Sanjaya tribute. But guess what, Casey, James and Scotty were even worse with their riff on Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida.” Based on those performances, they should stop the show now and not bother to name a winner.
Turns out it was just that kind of night for bad music —I’m talking to you Katy Perry — with the exception being former Idol winner David Cook, who performed his latest single, “The Last Goodbye.”
Now something else was supposed to happen last night … oh, yes, Stefano was voted off instead of Jacob and Haley was in the bottom three again. I’ll have to vote more for her more next week, when hopefully Jacob will cry his final tears on the Idol stage before the summer tour.
