Tony Boloney’s Goin’ Mobile

“We aren’t disclosing any information about where the truck will go and what it will serve, but I will confirm that we are already contracted to vend at over five festivals, have a few confirmed semi-permanent locations, and have been contacted by countless private and public parties to book the Mustache Mobile over the summer”, says Michael Hauke, owner of Tony Boloney’s and its new Mustache Mobile.
“We actually just booked a film set staring some big-name celebrities to provide bad-ass catering during the three-day shoot.”
A contributor to Atlantic City Weekly, who wishes to remain nameless and “undercover,” for the time being, tells us that after a tip regarding the final preparations for Tony Boloney’s Mustache Mobile, that said contributor, “followed the truck up north on the Garden State Parkway to Freehold [Bruce Springsteen's hometown] where the truck was being outfitted.
“And I was able to snag a shot of the truck!”
To land this scoop, remarkably, our undercover contributor — who took the candid shot above — tells us, “I had to make-up a story just to get in the door while they were working on it, but it looked nuts!”
Sources from inside Tony Boloney’s organization say the food truck will be serving Tony Boloney’s: “Big ‘Ol Subs and Indigenous Pizza ‘Street Style,’ which is how they serve it — un-cut, then wrapped to eat and walk.”
Plans for the Mustache Mobile are still being finalized, but expect to spot it in the coming months, as it will, according to sources, be driving up and down the Atlantic City, Margate, Ventnor, Longport and Ocean City areas starting soon.
Sources also say the blue-painted food truck has been confirmed as a vendor at both the Atlantic City Dave Matthews Band Caravan, as well as the Appel Farm Arts & Music Festival in Elmer, both scheduled for June.
And let’s not forget Tony Boloney’s second Pizza Slaughterfest, slated for May 14.
