From Sinatra to Opera

Earlier this afternoon, the attendees of the Metropolitan Business & Citizens Association (MBCA) summer luncheon meeting at One Atlantic in Atlantic City got a special treat. The MBCA, which holds several fundraising events throughout the year for a multitude of local causes and charities, brought singer Marc Antonelli to perform a song. A Massachusettes native, Antonelli has studied opera with Martini Ferrante and also attended the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston.

The aria that Antonelli sang — I think it was Puccini — was absolutely superb. He spoke to the crowd beforehand about his background and announced that he’s currently performing the songs of Frank Sinatra, Andrea Bocelli and opera at Tango’s inside the Tropicana in Atlantic City. In fact, he’s playing there tonight from 5-7:40pm; Friday from 11pm-2:40am; Saturday from 3-6:40pm and Tuesday from 7:30-11:10pm.

If you’re a fan of opera or Sinatra, you should go hear Antonelli sing. He has a magical gift and he’s currently sharing it with Atlantic City.

Check out his myspace page to hear him sing.

March Antonelli was superb. His songs and sing were magnificent. Pleas let me know where else he is appearing in the Northern New Jersey area. I would be interested in hearing him again.
