Hot Ayer Hits Hard Rock Thursday
In recognition of October’s being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Hard Rock Café Atlantic City will present Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Chris Ayer on Thursday, Oct. 22. Admission is free and the show starts 7pm. All ages are welcome.
Ayer was the 2006 folk-rock category winner in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, but besides folk, elements of pop, rock, country and even jazz permeate his sound. His new album Don’t Go Back To Sleep is due out next summer, and he’ll be on the road playing shows through the rest of this year.
Check him out at myspace.com/chrisayer, then come see him live at the Hard Rock and help support a worthy cause!
The Hard Rock will also be featuring pink drinks to help support its Pinktober campaign to help find a cure for breast cancer. For each “Pink for a Cure” beverage sold, $1 will be donated toward cancer research. This year’s choices include four different pink-colored drinks (three with alcohol, one without), and proceeds from the sale of special limited edition 2009 Hard Rock “Pinktober” merchandise will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Call 441-0007 for more information.
